At Essex-Morris Pediatrics, all of our physicians are board certified pediatricians, trained specifically to treat the needs of children and adolescents. It is our pleasure to treat patients from birth to twenty-three years of age. We are proud to be able to provide you the highest quality medical care and a deep concern for the well-being of your children. Our physicians are available to respond to medical emergencies twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We have no coverage group- you will always be speaking to one of us. There are specific hours set aside to speak directly with a physician should the need arise. If you are unable to call our office during these hours, our staff is trained to take your information. Please be assured that all medical answers given to you by a member of our staff come from a physician.
Also a part of our practice are 2 licensed psychologists who were trained in and work specifically with children. Sessions are conducted here in our office; a known and comfortable environment for your child.
Additionally, we have a dietician who comes in to our office to treat our patients needing nutrional guidance and support. We consider this to be an integral componet to our philosophy of caring for the whole child.
For our athletes 11 and older we suggest ImPact Testing which we provide right here in our office. Whether it be a baseline test you are seeking or a test after a concussion, we perform the test and interpret the results right in our office which the child already knows and where your child feels comfortable.
For your convenience, our office participates with most of the major insurance companies. Please speak with our front staff for further information. As it is impossible for us to know the details of your insurance coverage, please acquaint yourself with the intricacies of your individual insurance policy. We ask that you pay your co-pay and any monies owed at the time of service. If your insurance requires that you obtain referrals, we are happy to process one for you. We are happy to submit claims for our patients, just please understand that you are responsible for all non-covered procedures. Please try, whenever possible, to give us time to honor your request.
It is our pleasure to complete forms that you may require for your child to participate in school, camp or extracurricular activities. We know that your forms are important to you. For your benefit please give us plenty of time to complete your forms.
Just a quick note about scheduling appointments:
We schedule well checkups and follow up appointments ahead of time. The sooner you call for an appointment, the more choices of time and day will be available to you. If your child is sick, you are guaranteed an appointment the same day you call. We pride ourselves on our ability to treat your children promptly. This policy enables us to do so. It also ensures that there is an opening for you when you need it. We are pleased to be able to say that if you want to be seen, we will accomodate you.
It is important to us to do everything we can to protect your child’s privacy. Toward that end, we are a HIPAA compliant office. You will be given forms explaining the HIPAA guidelines at your first visit.
We want to ensure that every visit your child makes to us is as pleasant as possible. We are mindful of the trust you have placed in us in the care of those most precious to you. We look forward to watching with you as your newborns grow and become toddlers, school children and young adults.
